This function will rebuild or expand your Chg Slip  file

Nobody should be creating Chg Slips    ...

The above Option #5 will create rebuildslp.cmd which automatically copy existing slpctl.* and then run rbslip.

From the charge slip menu, choose charge slip maintenance, then choose purge closed and void charge slips. This will ask a date, be sure to leave at least 2 months on the system.

If purging does not create space, or is done on a regular basis by the office, it will be necessary to expand the SLPCTL files.

To expand the SLPCTL files, it is first necessary to determine the current size, do this via ISMDMP SLPCTL (output to DDT:) look at the number of records allocated. Next copy SLPCTL.ID* to SLPCTL.ID*

cp slpctl.ida slpctl.dia

cp slpctl.idx slpctl.dix

cp slpctl.dia slpctl.dat

Then remove slpctl.id*

rm slpctl.id*

Then go into the charge slip menu at dot prompt type:  bkdoor slpctl and choose # 9, initialize charge slips... choose a nember larger than the numbers of records that you noted above... This will build the new SLPCTL.IDA and IDX files.

At this point, you have empty IDA and IDX files and it is necessary to populate them. This is done by running at dot prompt type: bkdoor rbslip...it automatically reads SLPCTL.DAT and populates the IDA and IDX files.

IT IS NECESSARY THAT SLPCTL.IDA AND SLPCTL.IDX BE IN THE LOG ACCOUNT.a
