Charge Entry: External EMR Charges

The Charge Entry program can import charges from other sources. Example

· Your office uses an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system that captures each encounter. When Physician signs an encounter, the CPT charges and ICD Diagnosis codes associated with that visit can be sent to CyberMed.

· Your office uses a Scantron OMR card scanner that can read your charge ticket and based on the bubbled charge slip, the CPT charges and ICD Diagnosis codes associated with that visit can be sent to CyberMed.

Usage: From the Charge Entry screen:

Click on External before bringing up any patient. The program will look for any new charges that have been sent over by the EMR program or the Scantron Card scanner. New data will be displayed.

Click on any patient and that set of charges will automatically populate the charge entry lines. Verify Doctor, Place etc, then click SUBMIT.
