Instant Messages between Users – Chat Sessions

To send a message:

• On top Menu Bar Click on ADMIN – Send Message
• Select either a user or User Group.
• Type message in’ Message to send’ box,  then click SEND

Concepts Used:

· Users:   This is the individual person.   This user may work at different Work Stations

· Work Station:   This is the actual PC, at a specific  physical location

· User Group :  A list of User Names, grouped by functionality, set up per CLIENT

· Work Group:  A list of Work Stations grouped by functionality or location.

Setup for Messaging:  Must be done by ADMIN user.

The simplest setup involves USERs only, don’t need to set up Work Group or Stations

1. Users are already defined through  Admin System Configuration

2. User Group : Use Admin – Work/User Groups

· Define the different user groups.  Example:

Group Name One word only, 12 char max	Description
Front-office	Front Registration
Billers	Billing Office
Nurses	Nurse Stations in Back

· For each User Group, select which Users will belong to this Group

Messages can be sent to

• Individual users
• User groups
        Or
• Workstations (actual  PC's),
• Work groups (groups of workstations).
