Patient Registration: Duplicate Function

The Duplicate function allows users to automatically make a new account for an existing patient without re-entering all the information. Examples of this usage:

· Your office has multiple physicians and each physician has their own database. You can Duplicate a patient registration from 1 database to another

· Your office is not using CyberMed’s CASE management feature and you create a new account whenever a patient’s insurance information changes.

Usage:

Click on Dup before bringing up any patient.

Action	Description
Select Database	If you have multiple databases, select which database you wish to pull from
Select patient	Enter patient Name or Chart ID. The Patient name and Insurance will be displayed
Click SUBMIT	This confirms you have the correct patient
Enter New Chart ID or Auto generate Chart ID	Use either method to create a new Chart ID for this patient
	The existing patient will now be displayed with the new Chart ID. Change Insurance, etc, then click SUBMIT to complete the registration. You can click CLEAR to abort the whole sequence
